Georgian Military conflict and its impact on Armenian life
Georgian and Russian Forces are at war in Georgia and the Russian army has blockaded some of the vital shipping corridors into Georgia. This has also affected Armenia, which receives a large portion of its goods through Georgian ports. Gas has been rationed in Yerevan in the past 24 hours. Traffic has started to slow in the capital as well. I will attempt to provide updates from Yerevan as this conflict progresses.

Back to Normal
The short lived war has seemingly ended and Yerevan has returned back to normal. There are still allot of foreign government embassy workers and their families here. A friend of mine who manages a hotel mentioned that most hotels have been fully booked for the past 2 weeks. It seems this crisis in Georgia has created a bit of an economic boom for the local hotels who have been hurting after a slowdown of the world and United States economy.
