Spectacular questions!!! I am impatient to hear what our community members have to say, as the membership increases. I believe USAID, currently, has a project examining a few of these questions, you may want to look into.

Rafi and I go back a long way. He's doing good work in introducing modern western management techniques to Armenia.
I run a thing called Cascade; Bank, Insurance, Credit, Investments...we also implement modern practice. The most important thing you can do when setting up here is to focus on HR; recruitment, reward, motivation, career planning....all the stuff we take for granted in the west.
I run 6 companies and probably spend 40% of my time reinforcing culture and behaviour.
A major problem for disapora investors has been working from assumption rather than fact about this environment.
So, I've joined to help and guide folk out there who want to invest but are hesitant to do so.
I've been here 10 years and set up 8 companies; happy to help...and maybe gain some new clients for the Bank along the way.
