I have heard over and over again, that natives in Armenia are rude. I contest that view point. Some individuals who are in dire situations, of course do not put on a fake smile, and hence, come to be mislabeled as “rude.” Based on my experiences, I found that if we put on a smile, entertain a conversation, and offer as many complements as possible, we get to not only brighten someone’s day but to also see the real caring individual deep within….leading to a new valuable connection and the establishment of new friend, who will never fail to say hello to you, next time you pass by, or fail to help you when you are in need. I have experienced this scenario, countless number of times.
